Pray

Pinehaven has been richly blessed by God and by God’s people. Our first and foremost need has always been and always will be prayer. Please pray daily for the young people who are in our program. Pray that the Holy Spirit will work powerfully in their lives, touching each one with the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and ask for God’s will to be done as the kids in our care try to get on track and stay on track.

Please pray for our staff — houseparents, teachers, and administration — for His wisdom, discernment, and guidance. We ask that you pray for God’s supply of the houseparents and teachers we need to help these young people effectively. Being houseparents is challenging because they are the front line in dealing with the troubled kids that come to Pinehaven. Bathe them in pray as well while also considering becoming a houseparent.

Pray also that our staff will have the physical, spiritual, and emotional strength to handle the sometimes very difficult situations that arise. And don’t forget to thank God for the work He has already done, is currently doing, and will do in the future in helping the young people in our program.

Work

Each summer we host weeklong work groups to help us cut wood for the year, bundle plenty of hay, plant a big garden, clear out the woods, finish a new building, make repairs, and restore equipment. Participants also get to see Pinehaven in action firsthand. And we take them on excursions from a horse ride in front of the mountains to a drive through Glacier National Park.

Pinehaven is a non-profit ministry that relies entirely on the contributions of individuals and churches to meet expenses and expand the program. Put another way, we don’t solicit or accept government funds, thereby avoiding some of the potential “baggage” that might accompany such funds. Please prayerfully consider the possibility of a monetary gift to help Pinehaven continue, as God wills, to meet the needs of troubled and disadvantaged youth.
