the Gap Program

Experience-Led Discipleship for a Critical Season of Life

The Pinehaven Gap Program exists to stand in the gap for young adults at a critical crossroads of faith and life.

Many people ages 18–24 are asking big questions about purpose, direction, work, and faith—often while feeling unsure about what comes next. At Pinehaven, we believe this season matters.

Our Gap Program is rooted in experience-led discipleship, connecting biblical truth with daily life, meaningful work, and intentional community.

Through hands-on experiences on a working ranch, students grow in confidence, responsibility, and faith while discovering how God has uniquely gifted them.

Life at Pinehaven

Work balanced with play.

Life in the Gap Program is intentionally balanced. Students learn the value of hard work while also building friendships, enjoying community, and finding time to rest and reflect.

Days are shaped by meaningful work, shared meals, worship, laughter, and time outdoors—creating an environment where growth happens naturally and faith is lived out, not just talked about.

Asking the Right Questions...

After graduation, many young people wrestle with questions like:

  • Where will I go?
  • What will I do?
  • How will I get there?
  • Who will I serve?

Pinehaven’s Gap Program helps students build a bridge to the next chapter of their story by creating space to grow, explore, and walk closely with Christ.

Learning By Doing

At Pinehaven, discipleship happens through real work. Students take part in hands-on ranch and trade projects that build practical skills, teamwork, problem-solving, and perseverance.

The work students do is designed to teach responsibility and work ethic while helping them discover strengths they may not have realized they had. Through this process, faith becomes connected to daily life, effort, and purpose.

Trades, Faith & Purpose

The Gap Program supports the whole person—spiritually, practically, and personally.

Students experience:

  • Hands-on ranch and trade work
  • Bible study, chapel, and mentoring
  • Growth in independence, discipline, and confidence
  • Opportunities to serve others through daily life and work

For students who continue into the Apprentice phase, opportunities may also be available to complete a high school diploma or take college courses online while utilizing Pinehaven’s facilities.

Trades. Faith. Purpose.
Your adventure starts here.

our Programs

The Pinehaven Gap Program includes two parts:

Each program meets students where they are and helps them move forward with clarity and purpose.

Explorer Program

Each persons journey starts with an 8-week program focused on exploration, growth, and discernment—designed to help students take their next step with confidence.

Apprentice Program

For those who want to continue the path we have a longer-term, individualized program. In the Apprentice program students deepen their discipleship while advancing practical skills and life readiness.
