Our Gap Program is rooted in experience-led discipleship, connecting biblical truth with daily life, meaningful work, and intentional community.
Through hands-on experiences on a working ranch, students grow in confidence, responsibility, and faith while discovering how God has uniquely gifted them.
Life in the Gap Program is intentionally balanced. Students learn the value of hard work while also building friendships, enjoying community, and finding time to rest and reflect.
Days are shaped by meaningful work, shared meals, worship, laughter, and time outdoors—creating an environment where growth happens naturally and faith is lived out, not just talked about.
After graduation, many young people wrestle with questions like:
Pinehaven’s Gap Program helps students build a bridge to the next chapter of their story by creating space to grow, explore, and walk closely with Christ.
At Pinehaven, discipleship happens through real work. Students take part in hands-on ranch and trade projects that build practical skills, teamwork, problem-solving, and perseverance.
The work students do is designed to teach responsibility and work ethic while helping them discover strengths they may not have realized they had. Through this process, faith becomes connected to daily life, effort, and purpose.
The Gap Program supports the whole person—spiritually, practically, and personally.

For students who continue into the Apprentice phase, opportunities may also be available to complete a high school diploma or take college courses online while utilizing Pinehaven’s facilities.
Trades. Faith. Purpose.
Your adventure starts here.
The Pinehaven Gap Program includes two parts:
Each program meets students where they are and helps them move forward with clarity and purpose.
Each persons journey starts with an 8-week program focused on exploration, growth, and discernment—designed to help students take their next step with confidence.
For those who want to continue the path we have a longer-term, individualized program. In the Apprentice program students deepen their discipleship while advancing practical skills and life readiness.
Life and classes take place at Pinehaven Christian Ranch in St. Ignatius, Montana, about 40 miles north of Missoula, in the Mission Valley at the base of the Mission Mountains. The setting offers space to slow down, reflect, and grow—away from distractions and close to God’s creation.
